“Innovation Ecosystems”: Why Good Innovations Fail?

Among the many researchers I follow, Ron Adner is one whose framework is not just profoundly useful, but also inspiring for future research. His idea about looking at the interdependences between innovating firms and their component and complement providers helps to untangle the difficult to understand strategies behind complex innovations. His framework can also be read here in his Harvard Business Review article. The video above is an introduction to his 2012 book, The Wide Lens: A New Strategy for Innovation.
